Offshore Extension to the Larne-Lough Neagh Basin

  • The 27th Seaward Licensing Round, P2123, was awarded on the 20th December 2013 and the initial four year period runs until the 20th December 2017
  • A seismic programme has to be shot and a well has to be drilled by the 20th December 2017 in order to enter the second term of the licence
  • Initial interpretation of the available data indicates that a prospect could be tested by a deviated well drilled from the land
  • It is likely that the partners will relinquish this licence prior to shooting the additional seismic as required by the work programme subject to agreement from the Oil and Gas Authority
